下海常被用來指涉進入酒店產業,入行就是淪落風塵、捲入危險的海。大眾為酒店小姐定義生活處境，在社會既有的道德框架中，她們是一群失語的人。《海與岸》記錄了三位酒店工作者的真實樣貌，及他們從酒店去汙名倡議到組織工會、與社會對話的過程，但來自於家人或大眾的不理解，又該如何面對?酒店工作對他們來說,是海亦或是岸?

“Going to the sea” is the metaphor of ladies choosing to enter the nighttime entertainment business. The public defines their living situation by saying their job environment is like the sea of ​​danger. The Hostess documents the real life of three hostesses. They initiate the de-stigmatization activities, organize labor unions and try to communicate with the society. Facing the questioning and hostility from their family and the public, is such a career becoming their sea or their shore?
