《新春農場》 New Spring Farm

彭新春為新竹縣橫山鄉南昌村「新春農場」的主人。一歲時因細菌感染而全聾，也因此無法言語，溝通受限。擔心在外謀生會受欺負，其父親讓他留在深山農場三十餘年，以勞動度日。長年與土地為伴，他在翻土、修枝、採收的日常裡，磨練出農人的韌性與智慧。48 歲時，因教會朋友引介而學會手語，終於走出沉默世界，並積極向外學習農業技術。他透過嫁接與改良品種，提升水果品質，也讓農場景觀煥然一新。如今，新春農場的果實不僅受到鄉民喜愛，更象徵著他用雙手開創出的生命尊嚴與價值。
Peng Xinchun is the owner of "Xinchun Farm" in Nanchang Village, Hengshan Township,Hsinchu County. At the age of one, he became completely deaf due to a bacterial infection,which also left him unable to speak, limiting his ability to communicate. Fearing that he might be taken advantage of if he sought work outside,his father allowed him to stay at the remote mountain farm for more than thirty years,living through hard work.Having spent a lifetime close to the land, he honed the resilience and wisdom of a farmer through daily tasks such as tilling, pruning, and harvesting. At the age of 48,introduced by friends from his church, he learned sign language and finally stepped out of his silent world. He actively pursued agricultural knowledge, improving fruit quality through grafting and variety enhancement, and revitalized the farm’s landscape.Today, the fruits of Xinchun Farm are not only cherished by the local community but also symbolize the dignity and value he has created with his own hands.

生長在原漢通婚家庭的林珍珠，因為母親專注於泰雅編織文化的傳承，她從小就與織布器具、聲音為伍。畢業後有感於文化流失的嚴重性，珍珠決定放棄都市繁華的生活，回家參與母親的編織志業。母女倆彼此扶持、相互學習，透過手與身體的反覆實作，一同追尋、研究早期的傳統技法，進而加以發揚與推廣。編織是極需要耐心與體力的勞動過程，從種植苧麻、取纖製線到完成織品，每一道工序都是智慧與經驗的展現，作為年輕一代的文化復育者，珍珠不僅承繼了前輩長年累積的文化脈絡，更使編織文化在當代得以延續與實踐。
Born into a family of intermarriage between Indigenous Atayal and Han, Lin Zhenzhu grew up surrounded by weaving tools and sounds, as her mother devoted herself to preserving and passing on Atayal weaving traditions. After graduation,witnessing the alarming decline of cultural practices, Zhenzhu chose to give up the bustling life of the city and return home to join her mother’s weaving endeavors.Together, mother and daughter support and learn from each other. Through handson practice and embodied repetition, they explore and revive ancient weaving techniques, bringing them new life and sharing them with others. Weaving is a labor-intensive process that demands both patience and physical endurance—from cultivating ramie, extracting fibers, and spinning threads, to completing woven tex t i les. Each step embodies wisdom and accumulated experience.As a cultural reviver of the younger generation, Zhenzhu not only inherits the rich cultural lineage built by her predecessors but also ensures that the art of weaving continues to be lived, practiced, and sustained in contemporary times.
